Frequently Asked Questions

I've never done a photoshoot before, and I'm a little nervous. What should I expect?

No worries at all—you’ve got this! I’ll guide you through the entire process and make sure it’s a fun, stress-free experience. My goal is to create images that showcase all your hard work. I keep things lighthearted with music, good vibes, and plenty of laughs. This is your shoot, and I want you to walk away with amazing photos and even better memories.

Should I eat before my shoot?

Yes—definitely eat something light a few hours before the shoot. Think of it like a workout: you'd never train on an empty stomach. A photoshoot can be surprisingly physical, especially with the poses we’ll be doing, so fueling up beforehand will help you look and feel your best.

Do you recommend having my hair and makeup done professionally?

Absolutely. Hair and makeup artists are incredible at what they do, and working with one can elevate the final images. They know how to enhance your features for the camera and help you feel confident and camera-ready. I highly recommend reaching out to one if you can.

Is it okay to bring my significant other or a friend?

Absolutely! You're more than welcome to bring someone along, especially if they can be a supportive presence. I enjoy having others on set and always look for ways to include them, whether it’s hyping you up, giving feedback, or even helping out with a light stand.

I have a studio or location in mind. Is that included in my session fee?

Studio or location rentals aren’t covered in the session fee—those costs would be additional. If you have a specific location in mind, let’s discuss your vision and explore what it would take to book it. Luckily, Southern California offers plenty of stunning outdoor spots and rentable studios, so we’ll have no trouble finding the perfect backdrop for your shoot.

I’m interested in video. Do you offer video packages?

Absolutely! I’ve been a professional Video Editor and Videographer for nearly 15 years, and I’d love to create something that exceeds your expectations. You can find my fitness video pricing here. I’m also open to discussing other video projects—especially if they support your business goals. Let’s talk!

Do you travel for shoots?

Yes! I’m available for travel within and beyond Southern California. Travel fees may apply, depending on the location—let’s discuss the details.

What if it rains? Can we reschedule our shoot?

Luckily, rain is rare in Southern California—but if the weather doesn’t cooperate, I’m happy to reschedule outdoor shoots. For studio sessions, rescheduling is only considered under extreme circumstances (think: Noah-level flood). That said, I totally get how wild SoCal roads can get in the rain, so we’ll find a solution if needed!

What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Life happens! I just ask for 72 hours’ notice before your shoot to reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours of the shoot may be subject to a fee.

Do you accept gifts?

Looking to sweeten the deal for an extra edit or two? I’m always happy to accept a great pizza or a bottle of scotch. Chicago-style pizza (especially from Pizzeria Uno) is a favorite, and when it comes to scotch, Glenlivet never disappoints.
